Long overdue

here i am again...long overdue for a post! if i had any talent i would call it writer's block, but i don't even deserve that, ha!
alecia is doing better at school. if you don't know her teacher is a "card change maniac." i don't believe she has children of her own and that has become evident lately. she makes the kids change cards for the teeny, tiniest things; and to be honest she is out of control! so i called the guidance counselor and.......DRUMROLL PLEASE..... It's been determined it is NOT my daughter! I just don't understand, did we turn out so stupid that the state feels we must raise a child with an IQ of a genius now? And now i have got an email from said teacher that she wants to put alecia in tutoring. i told the teacher at the beginning of the year that tutoring is NOT an option for us right now. she only gets to see her dad for two hours afterschool monday-friday and i will not put her in an afterschool program for two of those days. she has only brought home TWO spelling tests less than a 100%, she missed one word. and her grades do not reflect the need for tutoring, all A's and one B. yes she may not be as mature as others in her class, but nobody else in her class was abandoned by their bio mom at age two, neither! so i am goona let my childish ways shine and say...SHOVE IT TEACHER!!! No i do not let alecia know my true feelings about her teacher, I try to remain as positive as a parent can.
on a brighter note, i loved the weather over the weekend!!! it was awesome. kids finally got to play outside, minus the snow. wohooo! can i get an amen for that?!?!
bart and i are busy planning our eight year anniversary present; we are going to gatlinburg ALL. BY. OURSELVES! DID YOU HEAR THAT, NO KIDS!!! We have a cabin in the mountains reserved, gonna rent a real cool car (you know, one with no room for baby seats) and do absolutely nothing for five days! I can't wait, too bad it's not til september.
last week i did my first speech for foster care! i was soooo nervous about it. but i had a great crowd of casa's that were very interested. annnnnnd, i was even asked back for later in the year, must not have been too bad, eh?
but baby p has a wic appointment in a bit, so i got to wipe the pb&j off her face and go.

  1. You know what school is rough!! Maggie has had a lot of trouble too. It is so stressful as a parent to have to worry about that. (Thank god Jennifer Skomp is her teacher this year. She is my new found angel Lol) I always thought it will be so nice when my kids go to school but since maggie has been it I have kind of changed my tune on that. Have a great trip girl. You soooo deserve it!!!
