SISTERS!

Nothing better than having some one to fight with!

Climbing trees at camp

Tomas climbing--he didn't get nearly as far when he yelled, "I scared, I scared!"

And of course, roasting hotdogs, I hate the word weinies!

Well, today was monumental...Alecia got to see her sisters for the first time since January! I was so ecxited for her. We decided to meet up at McD's of course and we were a few minutes early. Time seemed to drag on and they were not there yet. I was starting to wonder if we were getting stood up...when in all reality it wasn't even noon yet! But they got there (on time) and they all had a blast. Her half sisters, T and A, now live with their aunt; who was the one who challanged our petition for adoption. So I really disliked this woman b/c she was trying to "steal" my daughter. But I swallowed my anger and did what was best for her. I called the case worker who worked the case and asked her opinion on it and she said to call, I had to reach out my hand and try. If they did not accept then I could clear my mind and go on. Well, said case worker just happened to run into a family member of this aunt and told her about my intentions. She was crazy happy and I got her phone number. So I called and got a visit set up. I was very nervous about calling; I did not know how I would be taken when I called to speak with her. But it went great!! And it seemed very promising. Me and T and A's aunt even talked about the whole situation with the court hearings and such and I think we may have reached an understanding with it all. Very thankful for that.

In other news, I FOUND MY CAMERA!!! Yeah, I had misplaced for about a week and was starting to get worried.

Right now Bart in out golfing with my dad, the kids are watching TV and fighting and the babes are down for a nap. We have a date night planned tonight...I am thinkng dinner and bowling with Scott and Andrea, that should prove fun.

I got in some shopping this week. Elder-Beerman was having a killer sale. Most things were 50-60% off! So I got the kids their Christmas clothes presents and also had to get Tomas some jeans for now. I said like three weeks ago I would wait til the last minute to do it b/c last year he had grown out of his pants in January and was forced to wear highwaters. Not that he noticed, but I was emberassed for him! So I was waitng, waiting, waiting and then suddenly....it is cold and he had like three pair of jeans! Ughh, but he is in full supply now with 11 pair!

Alecia and I going to the zoo on Monday for a field trip! Not that I find the Mesker Park Zoo highly impressive; but a day full of first graders is sure to be interesting. Right? She is still getting into trouble at school. The girl can not help but to find something to talk about. I just don't know what to do anymore.

  1. My daughter is always in high water pants too. She has worn the same size waist for 2 years but she keeps growing taller all the time!! Makes for a hard time finding pants that fit. Your kids are adorable and I am glad the meeting with your little girls sisters was a success. Hope you had a good night out. Take care!!
