Don't Get Comfy

So, we just found our spot. Everybody was good, well acclimated and happy. That can take a while when moving five kids to a new house.
Then the husband called from work. He had been offered a promotion; but it would require some changes. Long story short; I said no, he said yes. Now, he has different hours and a longer drive. And his rebuttal: more money. Well, it's rained every week since then and he has yet to get in a full paycheck. So much for more money. But, it makes him happy. Whether it's the additional time away from home or the actual job that makes him happy is still unknown.
But, I decided to play "good supportive wife" and go along with it... for now.
In other news: School started. Which is wonderful. Because I'm sure Jasper's population was about to go down by five. Alecia's in second grade at the big school and doing well. She has a teacher that understands her struggles and is very supportive in my parenting decisions with it. That has been half the battle for the previous two years. Caleb is in second grade and is breezing by. He makes friends so easily. Tomas started kindergarten and LOVES it. I was a bit nervous because he had been in Miss Megan's preschool class for three years. I thought a new class room and new teacher may be hard for him to accept. But Mrs. Small had been wonderful; especially considering she has TWENTY EIGHT kids in her class. Yeah, I pay for my son to be in public school and still have 28 kids in his class. Anyone else see a problem with that? It's another post, tho.
The babes are wonderful... er, maybe rotten. No they are cute.... or mean. It really depends on what day you see them. Gavin is potty trained and has been for several months. He is doing very well. We are currently on round two of potty training Peytan. She gets it; most of the time. Still hasn't mastered the number two. Yeah, I know; lovely, right?
Summer 2011 post coming soon. Maybe in the next two moths if we're lucky!
